My current research interest is investigating the quality of food offered to children outside of the home which is often of poor nutritional content and provides few options. The number of families choosing to eat out has increased over the last decade resulting in a significant contribution to the weekly dietary intake of children. The nutritional quality of food offered to children outside the home should be examined as currently no UK regulations exist and research is limited within this area.
